Question:
Has anyone who have tried

I have read a lot of posts to the question boards saying how Curves is great, etc. I am thinking of joining and I am wondering if anyone out there have not liked it...    — Jeanese N. (posted on September 13, 2002)

Hello...I am a curves member and I know ALOT of other members and I don't know if I even know one person that doesn't enjoy theirself fully everytime they go. I will make a suggestion to you though. They have an offer that you can take advantage of. They will let you try it out for nothing for a week. Now how can you beat that! For free what do you have to lose? ........INCHES AND POUNDS!! Have fun!

Jeanse, Thought I would post my answer, I went ahead and after reading the board about the curves for women. I went ahead and like you went down and browsed. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it. The place is a big as my master bedroom, with about 8 machines in it. The only cardio equipment that I saw was the walking mats, (no bikes no treadmills) and then it runs $30 a month. I thought it was a pure waste of money. Very little equipment, limited hours in which exercising can be done. To top it off they also want a 12-month contract on a membership. I took my money else where to 24 hour fitness, it cost allot more to join $300 initiation fee and then $50 a month, every now and then they run specials, How-ever I joined without one. but it's well worth it, there are so many of them out here in Nevada, they give you the variety that our body needs ( different exercise equipment, pool and spa . It's working really good I'm 16 weeks post op and down 80 pounds...

I've heard great things about curves I would love to join, unfortunately they do not have any in my neck of the woods. Diane in San Francisco

Jeanese, Guess I just like the variety of all the extra's the Gym offers, and with no limit to what time I can go.... Living in Las Vegas, ( I want everything open 24 hours ) Just in case I get an extra spurt of energy and want to work out at a whim,...
