Question:
I was wondering if there is any out there who works for SWB Tel Co

and has UHC Select Plus POS and are in the network....if so were you approved for the WLS and how long did you have to wait...and did they give ya a hard time about it...Thanks    — Rhondaroo78 (posted on May 13, 2003)

Hi Rhonda, You are in great hands by working for SBC. There are several of us that work for Bell that has had this surgery. None of us had a single problem getting approved. Check my profile, it only took a few weeks to get approved. Some others on this site are: Susan Vazquez (House Springs) Chris Miller (St Charles I think) and Karen Aquardo (St Louis). I work for SBC too (midwest), absolutely no problems with my UHC. It took 8 weeks for approval, not sure if that was due to Insurance company or the doctors office. I didn't have to have a referral, and I never even once talked to the Insurance company. No probs at all. I feel very lucky

I agree with the previous posters...Had my consultation in late November and surgery was Feb. 12th...absolutely no problems... My physician was even out of network and they covered all but $500!
