Has anyone had Dr. Milton Owens of Orange California for their LAP

Dr. Owens did my RNY lap one year ago. Please read my profile as to how I
felt about his skill and integrity. Unsurpassed! I'm down 110 pounds and
have been at goal for 4 months. His partner, Dr. David Oliak, performed my
lower body lift 3 months ago and I've got the body of a young woman now. I
can't say enough about the respect I have for Coastal Center (surgeons and

I believe Dr. Owens did my sister's LAP-RNY just over a year ago. She has
lost 145 lbs and could not be more satisfied. Back here on the East Coast,
LAP-RNY 10/8/02 also down 145. Good luck to you.

I went through Coastal Center as well. Dr. Oliak performed my lap, but Dr.
Owens is great as well. I can't say enough good things about Coastal
Center. They take care of you pre, during and post!

I had my surgery with Dr Oliak - he is incredible. I have talked to Dr.
Owens and have heard nothing but great things about him. Coastal has
provided a positive and informative experience for me. I was very
skeptical till i went to the seminar. I dont think you can go wrong with
any surgeon at the Coastal Center
11 weeks post op - down 60lbs

I was looking at dr. owens for my surgery until his office requested $2000
for post op counseling. I switched to Dr. Nazarian out of Beverly Hills.
One of my friends had the micro gastric bypass with him a few years ago.
And she only lost 25lbs.

he'll be doing mine - I'd wouldn't want anyone else to do it - you can get
more info of this website - punch in Chapman Hospital and you'll read alot
of testimonies..... highly recommended...

Hi Sara: I called his office 3 and 1/2 years ago when I was looking for a
doctor to do my lap RNY. I heard good things about him, but he wasn't a
preferred provider for blue cross and several other doctors were. I decided
why pay money out of pocket if I didn't have to? I went with Pacific
Bariatric in San Diego. I am not overly thrilled with their aftercare, or
the process of getting to the surgery for that matter, but at least it was
covered 100 percent by insurance. In my opinion the surgery itself is only
a small part of the whole experience anyway. Personally, I'd have the DS
if I had it to do all over again, but that's just me. Best of luck with

Hi.. Dr Oliak of Coastal Center did my lap surgery with Dr Andrew
Hajduczek. Dr. Owens is just as wonderful and I have met him several times
during various seminars here in Las Vegas. There are no words other than to
say thank you to these doctors and this group for changing my life due to
this surgery. I was treated with total grace and dignity. They took care of
the approval and within 3 mos 2/19/03 I was operated ..I am 145lbs down

Dr Owens did my surgery 08/20/2002---He, along with his office staff is
incredible. I made it to goal within 11 months....from 260 lbs to 130
