Question:
Does anyone in COLORADO have a Dr. who is supportive of the surgery?

My PCP will not refer me (even though I weigh #330) I have Prudential POS insurance and need a new PCP.    — jaredsmom (posted on October 29, 1999)

Dr. Sean O'Donnell is my regulard doctor, and he referred me to Dr. Jeffrey Oram-Smith, who did my surgery for me in March of this year. He is in Colorado Springs, and his number is 719-473-6171. He will give you the referral you need. Good Luck!

3/5/00 I am answering my own question. Thanks to people who post here on this sight. I went into the "meet local peers" section and just asked around. I was referred to Dr Herbert Parris who was compassionate and understanding and he gave me the referral I needed. Surgery with Dr Otteman is scheduled for 5/9/00.
