Question:
Has anyone had Dr. James Scott in Wentsville, Missouri do their RNY surgery?

I am scheduled for lap RNY surgery with Dr. James Scott in Wentsville, Missouri for November 7th. I am looking for anyone who had him as a DR. and for your comments about him. Thanks so much.    — Penny W. (posted on October 20, 2000)

Hi Penny, I haven't had Dr. Scott, but i heard he was a good physician. If you would click at the top of the obesity page where you posted this message on find a doc you would see the comments his patience has of him, or you could go to the msn communites page for St. Louis people who has had the RNY and post there you may get more response to your question. Penny, Yes I had Dr. Scott in Wentzville, MO. I had my surgery on 9/22. I am now 4 weeks post op and have lost 27 pounds. Dr.Scott seem like he really knows what he is doing as well as everyone in his off. I had put a call into his office and he called my back yesterday evening from his cell phone I believe. I didn't have any problems with the surgery other than strong headaches. If you would like to email me feel free to. Remember I have been in your shoes not that long ago.

HI, I HAD DR. SCOTT AS MY SURGEON, AND HE IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I HAD THE LAP RNY ON 08-31-00, AM NOW DOWN BY 61 LBS., AND EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. I WAS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL 48 HRS AFTER SURGERY, PAIN WAS WELL CONTROLLED, AND GONE BY THE END OF THE FIRST WEEK, AND I RETURNED TO WORK 10 DAYS LATER. DR SCOTT IS EASY TO TALK TO, VERY HONEST ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT, AND HIS OFFICE STAFF ARE GREAT. YOU CAN EMAIL ME ANYTIME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED SOME SUPPORT. DONNA GOWENS

I had surgery with Dr. Scott on 5-9-00. I'm down 60lbs with only 15 left to goal. He is a wonderful surgeon. I had surgery on Tuesday home on Thursday. Would recommend him highly! Please e-mail if you have any quetions or concerns.
