Need details as to how your consult went. Did he request you lose weight before surge

yes, i visited Dr. Patti @ ucsf yes ucsf has a policy that if you are considering wls thru them. 1> visit dr. Astoroff (not sure of spelling) 2> lose 10% of weight 3> deal with it being a learning hospital, residents(new doctors asking you questions) 4> i found him to be very qualified and a knowledgeable doctor very caring and up front. 5> the only concern was follow up care. I live thre hours away so follow up visits where my concern. please email me at [email protected]

Hello... I am a post op of Dr Patti... and I was, am still am, very happy with his work :-) Dr Ostroff and NP Karen Begatellos (in the gastroenterlogy dept) informed me that I would have to lose 10% of my body weight prior to surgery before I could even meet with Dr Patti... I had stated before I would have rather they had asked me for a lung... but I did it!! plus 3 lbs!!! I don't weigh alot.. but in almost 5 months I have went from a lose size 24 to a very comfortable 16!!... I will answer any questions you have.. feel free to 'e' me at [email protected]... Take Care
