Question:
Care first Blue Choice hmo in Maryland,Are they hard to deal with? requirements?

Hi... We have Carefirst bCBS and it took me over 6 months to get approval and after 2 denials and going to my husb. employer due to an exclusion it finally went thru. I am 4 wks post op on surgery. Be aware that MD passed a law Oct. 2 stating that if medically nec. this surgery must be covered so in any problems you have with Carefirst include your knowledge of this. I'm lucky in that my surgeon did so much of the legwork with ins. but I got very involved once it hit the ins. company. I called weekly and once it went to appeal, I got in touch with the nurse review person. So I wish you good luck.
