Question:
My husband just got ins. with bcbs/fl/ppo blue choice aug.1 2002 .

Through my husbands employer we just got his ins. as of aug.1 2002 after 7 and a half mths. on the job anyway in the certificate of coverage booklet it does state that bypass surgery is covered so long as it was never done before,it has a pre existing condition that states any physical or mental cond. medical advise, diognosis, care or treatment that was recomended or treated during the six-mnth.period immediately preceeding the 1st. day of the insureds waiting period or the insureds effective date of coverage under policy,I have not been seen by a doctor or had any type of medical advice since at least12 months ago ,so would that be ok for the pre existing condition in the policy,I have had health problems in the past and have been on meds for weight loss and of that nature but not in at least 2 yrs. would I qualify to be covered?please someone out there help. thank you in advance kelliann my e-mail address is [email protected] P.S.The reason for wanting surgery is because just went to drs. last week she thinks i might have diabetes type 2 took test have to wait for results 1 week and she did a ekg said my heart was enlarged because of my weight and told me to loose weight and put me on xanax for stress to calm me down have other problems also due to weight so want surgery soon.    — Kelliann S.
