Question:
I have heard of people getting staff infections from palms of pasdena?

It is actually a staph infection. It is a specific strand of infection.
You can obtain this at any hospital. Just make sure that your doc, nurses,
and cna's use good handwashing techniques. Make sure nurses and docs use a
good sterile field when doing a dressing change to your abdomen. Many
infections are decreased alot with good handwashing skills. You also need
to adhere to this technique as well. If you are not familiar with proper
handwashing technique, ask a nurse to show some information packets. It is
not the standard stick your hand under the water and dry. Good luck and be

I too, was going to go to Doc Butler, but i had a change of mind when they
ran a special on him an\bout 2 months ago on Fox 13....Thay had nothing but
negative to say about him and how he is currently being reviewed because so
many people have past away under his care, that they mat be taking his
license away.....But they also did mention that he has done thousands of
these operations, and ofcourse the more you do the higher the mortality
rate...I think all in all this surgery is a risk you'll just have to take..

I had my surgery at Palms of Pasadena July 9th, 2001. I have never been
treated better at any other hospital I have been in. They were great. Dr.
Butler is my doctor, and I have had no complications of any kind. I also
followed his requirements. Dr. Butler gave me back my life, and was there
for me every step of the way. If I had questions he was always available,
no matter what time of the day of night it was. As far as I am concerned,
you could not ask for a better doctor. I also seen the report, which did
not do him justice at all. I can not speak for everyone else, but for me he
was great. I also have friends he did surgery on, and they have done
great.One of my friends he did surgery on 6 years ago, with no problems,
and curently he has done surgery on atleast 6 of my personal friends that
had no problems. I would recommend him highly. Please feel free to e-mail
