Question:
I am in the DFW area of Texas. Does anyone know a doctor that will take CIGNA HMO?

I would try Bariatric Treatment Center in Wylie. I had the choice between CIGNA PPO and HMO shortly before I went for my consult. They told me they can work with the HMO, but the PPO is sometimes easier. Bottomline, I'm sure they will work to get you approved by CIGNA HMO. Go to the BTC banner on this website for more information. I've been through my consult with them already, and am now waiting for insurance approval, but it looks like a great place to have the open RNY done.

You can try Dr. Cribbins. He is in the Plano area. I have Cigna EPO and he takes it. I don't know if you have to go to a surgeon near your home (withing miles) or if you can pick one any place.

You can also browse the Cigna website at www.cigna.com. You can do a search for physician based on HMO and location (zip code). Good luck!
