Question:
I have been getting my copies of what the bills were for my surgery.

This is kind of odd. My insurance company pre-approved the surgery, but on some the bills that are being sent through are on "hold" pending approval. Like say for instance, one came from my surgeon that I'm assuming was for his services performed on the day of my surgery; insurance is holding it pending approval. Well didnt they already approve this? I'm confused. Any assistance?    — Kim L. (posted on May 16, 2003)

Get a copy of your surgery approval from your insurance company and make a copy and send it with the bills, or call your insurance company and ask were to send the bills. The bills may just be a notice to let you know that they submitted to your insurance company and have not gotten anything back. You said that they said they were on hold, do not worry about it, now if they send you a bill, that is different.
