Question:
Dr Schauer in PGH did my surgery 2/16/99. Has anyone here also used him?

I'd love to speak to his other patients, especially if you attend the support group. He and his staff (I can't say this enough) are my heros -- I get teary eyed just thinking about this whole thing! I am a patient of Dr. Schauer's. I am scheduled for surgery on July 27th! Yippee!! I have gone to the last 2 support group meetings even though I haven't had my surgery yet. Dr. Schauer and his staff did my surgery on 2-22-99. I am 37 yrs old, 5'4" and weighED 208 lbs. Six months out, I now weigh 142 and am in size 6's & 8's. Unbelievable to me! Dr. Schauer is my doctor also. My surgery is scheduled for October 26, 1999. I've only met him once and he seems nice. Beth and Robin have been great. Dr. Schauer will be on vacation for the two weeks prior to my surgery, so he will be good and rested. What do you think of him??

I had my surgery with Dr. Schauer on 6/8/99! I am extremly happy with my results--I lost 100lbs by Christmas! He, Beth, and Bill are Wonderful! I can't say enough good things about them and there care of me. Do you attend the support group meetings the first Weds. of the month at Montifore Hospital Auditorium?
