I am looking for a surgeon in Alaska.

Hi sweetie, i read your letter and let me tell you do not let a doctor in alaska do it. I've been in alaska 30+ years and alaska is not up to date with these kinds of surgeries. You can sense your military have your doctor ask for another doctor to do it. Like in Seattle Virginian Masson or Bellflower with Dr. Fobi. Hi, We are military up here at Ft. Richardson. There are two surgeons at the Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage. You will need to go to your Primary Care Manager to get a referrel, then they will refer you to the surgical clinic up here. My 1st appt.with the surgeon is on the 25th of Oct. E-mail me anytime if you have further questions. As far as I know there are no civilian surgeons in Alaska. Most of the patients at our support group went to California or Washington. However if you meet NIH standards you can get it on base. They also do tummy tucks and breast lifts here too.

Hi, I live in Anchorage and I had to fly down to Tacoma Washington because there is no surgeon in Alaska. I have been told that there are a couple on Elmendorf. Dr. Fox is who I went to. Hi Susan. There is a wonderful doctor here in Anchorage who does this surgery. His name is Dr. John Snyder. He did my surgery on 5/11/99 and I have lost over 85 lbs. so far.
