ANY LUCK WITH AETNA US HEALTH CARE IN MICHIGAN
I AM AS OF 1/1/00 WITH AETNA US HEALTH CARE AND I AM WONDERING WHAT MY CHANCES WILL BE WITH THIS INSURANCE. I HAVE NOT BEEN DENIED THE PHSYC EVAL AND I AM TRYING TO BE VERY OPTIMISTIC.THIS IS MY BIGGEST WORRY. NOT GETTING APPROVED — Debra H. (posted on February 2, 2000)

I was approved through Aetna USHealth MC POS. They are out of
Portland, OR. I am in Dallas. It took 1 month and 2 days and
I had to provide diet history. No big deal. Aetna seems to be
the best for approval. Go to the key work search on the main page
and search on Aetna. I think you will find more info. Good luck

I HAVE PRU HMO WHO WAS BOUGHT OUT BY AETNA US HEALTH CARE AND I JUST GOT
APPROVED FOR WLS. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME AND ASKED ONE QUESTION....THEN THEY
APPROVED IT. MAKE SURE YOUR DR. WRITES A STRONG REFERRAL LETTER STATING
THAT WLS IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY FOR A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOU
FUTURE

I have Aetena of ohio-(contact # is in colomus)- They approved me no
problem. I have heard that michigan is about the same. My surgery is on
2-08-00 at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Addison,MI. They did all the
work for me with the insurance company. Yhe insurance company did want to
know past diets,especially medicaly supervised. The center contacted my
private doctor and got all the info from them. I wish you the best of luck.
Keep your hopes up. I know the waiting is hard but think positive and keep
