Question:
Have anybody ever been approve with this company (UMR)UNITED MEDICAL RESOURCES. it's

a group Insurance through my husbands job and I've never seen it posted as being used by any post op, so I was kinda worried because I don't see it listed anywhere.However I called and asked did they cover the surgery and they said that I have to send an approval from a PCP to them to be looked at before it can be approved.So it kinda sound like they might if it's medically nescessary    — Vanteena D. My husband's employer also has UMR and his policy has an exclusion I called to ask if they cover and they said "no" I did not pursue it any further. I got my own policy with Aetna and they DO cover. Many different policy holders may not have the same written exclusions. At least they told you they would consider you. Good luck!

I used to have UMR insurance, but when I had my surgery I had Teachers State Major Medical Plan. I do know the surgeon who performed my surgery does accept UMR patients. This does not help a lot, but it is something to go on.
