Question:
Where can I go for surgery?

I NEED to have surgery very soon. My knees are about to give out and I'm afraid I'll lose my job. I had an appointment (Sept) with a dr. who moved and cancelled the appointment. Then I had an appointment with the only other dr. in our area that does the surgey and it has been postponed twice. (from Nov. then Jan. and now Feb 28th.) I'm in a difficult position where I must be able to work during June, July and August, so if I don't have this surgery soon I will have to wait until Sept. and I don't think I will be able to make it that long. I'm willing to go somewhere else but I can't make alot of trips for testing. Does anyone have any ideas? Email me.    — Pam B. (posted on January 11, 2001)

Have you considered going to Northern VA to have surgery? I highly recommend Dr. Elariny who does the surgery lap. I didn't have any trouble getting an appointment with him. I know its a long drive, but may be well worth it. I had my first appointment within 10 days of calling his office and my surgery within one month of that appointment. I know he is getting busier though, so if you decide to go this route, call his office as soon as possible. Good Luck!
