Question:
Does anyone know of a surgeon who does the LAP in ca. Who also takes Blue Cross?

Hi Tiara, I am haveing lap surgery done at Pacific bariatric in San Diego. Dr. Zorn and Dr. Tanaka do the surgery together. It is done ony on mondays, and from what i understand Kaiser does now cover lap surgery. Also a Dr. Whittgrove at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego does alot of lap surgery . Hope this helps.Good luck

Hi Tiara, I believe that Dr. Pamela Foster at Stanford Medical Center accepts Blue Cross. I had my first consult with her and she only performs Lap RNY. Hope this helps!

My sister had her surgery with Dr. Ho in Fresno. She's in with Dr. Higa and Dr. Boone. (they might be called Valley Surgical) They do their surgeries Lap. She made the commute from Sacramento to Fresno and has done really well -no complications, but the follow-up's been a little tougher with the 3 hour drive.
