Question:
My intestines feel swollen and inflamed.

I am 9 days out. My lower abdomen is distended and it's hard to bend over. It DOES NOT appear to be gas. Has anyone else had this? Will it go away? Thanks, Diane BPD 12/2/02 - 20lbs.    — Diane M. (posted on December 10, 2002)

Diane, I felt like I had a beachball in my abdomen and couldn't bend like I wanted to even in just getting out of a chair. Yes, it will go away. I figured it was just some edema in the abdomen from the surgery. Give it 2-3 weeks and you should feel better. Joan
