Question:
Anyone out there had VBG?

I am desperate to talk to those who have had the VBG surgery. And especialy those who may have had Dr. Torby for a surgeon in Nebraska. Please let me know how things are going and what I can expect in the first few months of Post-op. It looks as if I will be having my surgery in a couple of months. Any info would be helpful. I had open VBG on 10/1/02 and haven't had many complications. I've lost about 80 pounds so far. I have had an issue with hair loss in the last month or two, but not enough for anyone else to notice except me. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions and good luck with your surgery!
