Question:
Please tell me about Dr. Wallace from Froedtert

I can not find Dr. Wallace from Froedtert in the database. Can any tell me anything about him? Does he do laps? What about Dr Nekeeb? Any information would be great (good or bad) Thanks    — Arevica G. (posted on December 6, 2000)

Dr. Nakeeb has been accused of malpractice by one of his weight loss surgery patients who is suffering from life threating complications due to his surgery. Individuals involved in litigation cannot comment, but I would recommend that you discuss this in full with Dr. Nakeeb if you consider using his services. You should always research and investigate malpractice claims against a surgeon; and you should DIRECTLY ask that surgeon regarding negative outcomes that they have experienced.

I too am looking at Froedtert - Dr. Nakeeb. There has been ONE poster with negative comments regarding malpractice. I can only imagine that all doctors have things like this. I have personally talked with some that have used Dr. Nakeeb where everything went fine. From what I understand, if having Lap, both Dr. Wallace and Dr. Nakeeb are in the surgery room as this procedure is still somewhat "new" there. However, I totally agree witht the last post, that we all must do our own research, and ask questions, questions, & more questions. If you find out anything more positive/negative on either of these doctors - please pass along to me!! Thanks.

I am sorry but I have a hard time with people who hide (Anonymous). IMHO if they can not give their name, then they are 1. not being honest or 2. not really involved and just passing on hearsay or 3. they have something to hide besides their name. I am truly sorry this "other" person has had complications, but isn't that something we are looking at by even considering this surgery? I will ask about any malpractice suit and even if it is as bad as they first poster claims it is, does one bad apple make them all bad? I have hear great things about Dr. Schulte and he is part of that team. I was really interested in Dr. Wallace. Thank you for posting but I have a hard time with your hiding. I did ask for comments good or bad and you gave me that, so thank you.

I also got anonymous mail regarding the staff at the same hospital that Nakeeb's is at when I was pre-op. It turned out it was from someone from a different surgery center that was screwing around. > Individuals involved in litigation cannot comment, but I > would recommend that you discuss this in full with Dr. > Nakeeb if you consider using his services. Discuss what? Anonymous innuendo from a website? You said yourself he can't comment on "supposed" pending litigation. Even if there isn't a lawsuit, a doctor can't discuss someone else's case with you anyway. Your best bet to get a feel for the the surgeon and the hospital is to attend a support group meeting and talk with his existing patients. There's one coming up December 12; 6:00 in the lower level conference room at Froedtert. I hope to see you and "anonymous" there.
