Question:
Does anyone know what this could be?

For the last couple of weeks everytime I try to eat or drink I get a real severe pain just between the breast at the breast bone. I also have belching that you wouldn't believe at this time. They both hurt so bad that I have to quit and hold my chest or go lay down until it stops. Friday I called the doctor and he prescribed Reglan to be taken 30 minutes before eating a meal and at bedtime. Now I am real sore about where the pouch should be. Does anyone have an idea what is going on? Also my energy level is really low--I don't want to eat because of the pain and I don't want to do anything because of lack of energy.    — curiousjane (posted on November 23, 2002)

hi carolyn i too have had that feelin but mostly it came from eating something that either didnt agree with me or that i had not chewed up enough and couldnt get down so it caused that pain it usually went away after i either threw up or belched the food down. everyone is different but that was my experience. good luck i hope you figure it out.

That happened to me once and was very bad. Kept coming and going for a couple of hrs. It was because I ate some bacon and it was the fat I was dumping from. I felt like I was having a heart attack. I never had bacon again and it never happened again.
