Question:
is anyone aware of any good doctors in Mexico who perform the gastric bypass surgery?

i am particulary interested in surgeons who perform the gastric median bypass laproscopically. i did a search on the site and found posters who had the adjustable and others, but now what i'm seeking. i've been denied by my insurance company and i desperately need a good, reasonably priced surgeon. i refuse to give up and could use any information available out there that may help me. feel free to email me at [email protected]. thank you in advance, my friends.    — Felecia C. Hi, I'm going to Ensenada, Mexico. I think the doc only does open RNY, but it's worth a look........approx. $6700.00 total!! www.derivaciongastrica.com/english is his web site. Good luck!!

Both Dr. Rumbaat and Dr. Herrera came highly recommended. You should be able to find contact info on both in the library. I believe they both offer both open and lap. Both are well known and so a bit pricey but you are assured of getting good care d/t the high number of US patients they've done.

I went to Monterray, Mexico. I had a good experience however, it sounds like Brazil is even cheaper than Mexico.
