Well, I am 5'5" weighing in at 148 and wearing a size eight...my guess is that 137 would put you in a six, which is my new goal...

I am 5' 6" and I weight 146. I am in a 6-8 so I suppose the extra inche would make the difference for you. I would guess you would also be a size 6-8

Well, that would depend on your build. You can take two 5'5" people at 135 pounds and they might just look totally different and wear different sizes. Not too good to compare yourself to others. Get down to were you look and FEEL good and be happy with those numbers. They will be YOUR numbers!

Im 5 ft 8, 148.5 and a size 8/10. The more you exercise, the more likely you will be to lose inches and sizes. I have been this weight before years back and 2 sizes bigger. The reason was because I was not as active and I didnt exercise.

I wear a size 8 at 137. I am 5'2". BUT this will depend on the amount of lean body mass you have. I wore a size 12 at 115 pounds in high school, but I was a "thin fat person" with a percent body fat of 54%. My percent body fat at 230 pounds was 57%! Now I have 23% body fat. The muscle takes up less room than the fat, so I weigh more but am smaller. You've developed some extra muscle carrying around all that extra weight. If you do strength training (weights) for exercise, you'll develop even more. Make sense?

It's remarkable how much variety there is in our body shapes and sizes. I am 5'8", 124 pounds, and fairly small-boned, to my eternal amazement. (I always believed I was "big boned." Nope.) I wear a 6 in most things, a 4 in some, once in a while an 8 in blouses (since my breast lift/aug anyway.) Sizes are VERY inconsistent from one designer to the next. So much depends on your bone structure and body type. In addition, body type may change once the weight is gone. I used to be a pear shape. I'm now somewhere between an hourglass and a stick - I do have a waist but not much since my hips are so much smaller than they have ever been. Too weird. hugs, Ann RNY 9/10/99 260/124
