Question:
severe pain in left side?

Hi, I am now 1 year post op form having rny and about 2 weeks ago I had bronchitis and took all of my antibiotic for that, but itwas so severe that I went to the er because my chest was so congested so they took ex rays to make sure I didn't have phenomonia, sorry for the speling there. I didn't have it though thank goodness, but the past three days I have been hurtint in my left side area around my rib cage and it radiates towards my back at times and to the lower part of my left side too. The pain only has gotten worse and I was wondering what in the world could this be? I want to go to the er, but since I have been in there a couple of times in the past couple of mths with being sick and all I feel stupid to go back and my doc isn't in so what do you think I should do, and what could this possibly be? thanks so much for you answers!    — Melodee S. Personally if you hurt that bad, I'd go back to the ER. Pain is telling you something is not right. Have you ever called your surgeon? I'm assuming your doc is your doctor, not the surgeon?

You know, you MIGHT have pnemonia in your left lung! My Mom had that kind of pain when she had pain on her left side. (She was thinking heart attack, and it was pnemonia).
