Yup....you just need to find a surgeon who will take Medicaid- As your PCP to refer you to one.

Hi, I have medicaid adn they paid for the surgery where I live, so go to the top of this page and click on find a doc then on your state adn search for diff surgeons there to see who takes medicaid, or call the number on your card to see what surgeons they have, or go to your pcp and ask them! good luck to you!

It depends on your state's policies, I believe. My son was on Pennsylvania's welfare benefits, with total hospitalization and medical coverage, and his surgery and all tests were completely paid for. It wasn't even a problem to get approval. In PA, various insurers are paid by the state to provide the coverage, and I'm not sure if it's like that in all states. He had UPMC for YOU, which is probably one of the best coverages available. Good luck in your search.
