Dear Cheryl, I have not heard of Dr. Ostross at UCSF. You mean the San Francisco Campus I would assume. I have met with Dr. Mark Vierra whom my insurance company referred me to. He has lots of experience really expertise doing Roux and Y's. He is with UCSF Stanford Campus. You should call him. Not great bedside manners. Not a gushy hand holder but, more than good at what he does. He will do a Laparoscopic RNY on me. He told me they take only 3 to 4 hours and you only have six puncture hole each the size of a writing pen. Not bad. Take Care! Jeannette Cheeks
