Question:
I will be getting PERS Care - Blue Cross. This insurance is with the State of

I am also with the Sate of CA I notice you are having the same problems i
am. I recieved the PERS CARE booklet (Blue Cross Prudent Buyer )and
noticed just yesterday that there is an exclusion for wieght lost surgery.
It was very discouraging. Although i found out that walter Lindstom ( attny
for obesity laws) also had BS/BC prudent buyer and he had the surgery.
With BLUE CROSS HMO- there is not an exclusion but the dr. i would like to
have my surgery is not under the Blue Cross HMO book. He is with Blue
Cross but not Blue Cross HMO. I am going to call him and find out witch of
the insurances he cant accept or win a fight with. i need to do this before
the enrollment period ends 10/15/99. sorry to ramble but i feel that we
are in the same boat. feel free to write back.......
