Question:
Has anyone ever been approved by HEALTH CHOICE for Ok> State Employees???

INS. booklet reads under exclusions: Expences for Weight Loss Treatments. Please help with any info. Will I most certainly be denied with no recourse?    — Joanna M. (posted on May 2, 2000)

I don't think there is much hope in getting an approval with them. I don't want to sound pessimistic but I too have Health Choice and on my first consult with a doctor in Okc he told me that he knew that they wouldn't approve from prior experience with them and that he wouldn't even try for me. I have heard of another lady who hired an attorney but lost so this makes me think there is not much of a chance with Health Choice. I have just changed over to Community Care HMO they have had some approvals but I don't know if they were state workers. I am hoping that the state doesn't have a set of exclusions of their own plus that of the insurance companies. My insurance doesn't go into effect until July 1st so I have been waiting a long time for this surgery and am hoping I get a fast approval. I think there is another Ok. state employee who is a member of this site who got a approval with Healthcare Ok. although she too had to hire an attorney. I wish you the best of luck and maybe if we (ok. state workers) all stand together we can change the minds of the people in power over at the state capitol.
