Question:
Has anyone had WLS at Willford Hall in San Antonio, TX?

I am currently in Aviano, AFB in Italy. There is an Air Force surgeon at Lakenheath, AFB in England, but he will be leaving in May. There is a possibility he will be referring me to Willford Hall. Has anyone had their WLS there and what were your experiences? I have heard they have a year waiting list. Was this the case for any of you and how long did it take for you to gat a surgery date. Victoria, I did not have my surgery in San Antonio but came close. I was told they only take several cases per month. I was also told I could have it done there within a couple of months. If I hadn't found my surgeon who takes Tricare, that is the route I would have taken. I have heard good things about them. My son had surgery there when he was just a baby and I was very, very, pleased. I hope this helps in some way.
