Question:
Fobi procedure

Hi everyone: I have just found out that I can have a 'regular" ? type wls or I can choose to have the Fobi type procedure done. Is there really that much difference as to which one I choose? Will I lose more weight with the Fobi type over the other one? Could I please hear from one's that have had both, and thanks a bunch.    — [Anonymous] (posted on March 25, 2001)

We have no way of knowing what the 'regular' type of wls is. Did you ask? The Fobi is a type of Roux En Y gastric bypass and it works very well. I had this, although my surgeon doesn't make the pouch quite as small as Dr. Fobi does.
