Hoping to have surgery at Harper Hospital in Michigan, family needs hotel nearby

hi Diana- the ONLY hotel service within walking distance of the hospital is
the Inn on Ferry (Utell) phone 313-871-6000. Has shuttle service to the
hospital, discounted rates for Detroit Medical Center families. This is a
collection of 4 historic mansions- very cool. (I also saw some great rates
on www.orbitz.com for them) Use the shuttle service; this is not
walk-friendly area after dark. There are other hotels I would be happy to
tell you about in email, all within 5 miles, but traffic & parking are
troublesome at times. Please let me know if you need anything else while
you're working with CORI; I'm a post op of theirs.

Please try the St. Regis Hotel on Grand Blvd in Detroit.
It is not too far from Harper Hospital (not walking distance) but safe area
and nice hotel. Also, downtown offers several hotels and is not more then
a couple of miles from the hospital too! Good luck! I had my surgery there
on 2-10-03.

Harper Hopsital also has an internal International Guesthouse. You have to
make this arrangement thru the hospital
