Question:
Vomiting, burping, nausia, burning.

I had vomited for the first time today and I am scared. Could it be that I ate something I did not like or I was full or I might have gallstones. I was feeling kind of gassy, my thoat was tight and my chest. I started burping the next thing I noticed I was nauseas. I drink a yogurt that was 6oz. Like a hour later I ran to the bathroom throwing up this yuky green stuff that tasted nasty. I had to use mouth wash to get the taste out. When I was finish my throat was burning me, so I ate a icey to cool it down, I then went to the bathroom and threw that up. I drank water for the first time today because I needed it, I had and urge to drink it at that moment. I continue to fill gassy and burp a lot. Hours later I seem to fill find but I can't seem to figure what it was. I didn't feel full at all and it was my first time trying a yogurt that you can drink. You need to call your surgeons office and ask those questions , NOW. Good luck and God bless.

Sounds to me like your body just didn't want that and it told you so. But the bile (green yucky stuff) does sound bad... I'd call the surgeon and ask them what they think.

I'd suggest you check the sugar content in your yogurt drink and that icey. Both sound sugary to me and perhaps you were 'dumping' because of the sugar. I'm just wondering how far out from surgery you are.

Could it be that maybe you drank to fast? You don't say when your surgery was, but I'm almost 5 mo. post op and still have to "sip" my drinks. When I drink to fast, it fills like a straw filling up from my stomach to my throat. How come today was the first time you drank water? Seems to me like water would come before yogurt. good luck! Dani

The same thing happened to me at about 4 weeks post op. It was probably the yogurt, try waiting a couple of weeks before you try it again. That is what I did with (crab meat)and I went back to liquids for two days after throwing up to give my stomach a break. Hope this helps you.
