Question:
Lovelace Federal will only pay 50%. I need help with appeal

I am retired USPS and Lovelace Federal will only pay 50% and one day hospital stay and then will be reviewed on daily basis. Reason for 50% is "cosmetic surgery". I need to start appeal. What do I do first? My surgery is this Friday, Dec 14. I will go ahead with surgery and begin the battle as soon as I am home. Thanks,    — Kathryn K. (posted on December 11, 2001)

Wow! I am 2 weeks post op and can assure you that you will not even want to leave the hospital for 3-4 days. The first day you are in another world, the second they say is the worst, although I didnt experience that. For me the third was the worst as I had gas from hell and untill we got that out I was an uncomfortable puppy. Plus mentally (sp?) having a squad of nurses at hand is very re-assuring. As for the appeal contact Walter & Kelly Lindstrom attys. at obesitylaw.com.they specialize in just that and are the gold standard in their feild. I used them and they were reasonable as well.
