Question:
Excessive belching (Post Op Lap Band)

I am 3 months post lap band and burp all the time.....I mean all day!! How am I ever supposed to meet a man doing this as the burps are so loud and constant? How can I stop them is there anything I can take?    — wendy M. (posted on February 27, 2003)

Hi there, I had a problem with burping throughout my first 3 months post-op. I had Gastric Bypass in July 2002. I am happy to say the burping stopped on it's own. If you continue to have a problem speak with your doctor. Good Luck

It gets better! I promise. And you learn to burp in places like the bathroom so that you aren't embarassed by it.
