OK... I'm 8 mos post-op, and have recently figured out that Splenda products give me awful gas (as in make my stomach hurt). I was eating the Sugar Free Lifesaver CreamSavers with Splenda in them for a few days before I figured it out. Now I'm scared of Splenda, and I really LIKE it, darnit! LOL I don't know if that's causing your problems, but I thought I'd throw it out there for ya. :)

Yep, for me more carbs = more gas. Also I don't know what kind of muffin you're eating but if it is a bran muffin and you aren't used to eating a lot of fiber that could bring it on, too. I find that when I start sneaking carbs back into my diet I have a lot more trouble with gas. Maybe you could eat the muffin on the weekend when you are cleaning house? Then it would just be the dog (or DH) who gets gassed. And I'll bet if you work it just right you could blame it on the cleaning solutions! "Honey, what IS that???" "Oh, nothing, dear. I just forgot and mixed the comet and ammonia again!" LOL
