Question:
Does anyone have any pictures of their incisions after lap RNY?

I am about to have Lap RNY in November 2003. I would like someone to please send me a picture of their incision scar or tell me where I can view them online. My email address is [email protected]. Thanks Tammy    — Tammy W. (posted on October 13, 2003)

Hi Tammy, I do not have any pictures of my incisions, but I wanted to tell you that I am 6 months post op, and you can barely see my scars. I was very suprised how small the incisions were, and how well they healed. I have a total of 6 small incisions about 1/2 inch to 1 inch long. I had no complications at all with the healing. As a matter of fact, the tape that covered them, was off in a matter of days. I am truly thrilled that I had the procedure done Lap! Good luck to you, and feel free to email me if you have any questions! God Bless! :)

Your question made me run to the mirror and look at my scars...it had been a while. It seems that now, at 8 months, my largest scar has shrank to about 1/2" and even though I could have sworn that I had 6 holes and the drain tube, I can now only find 5 scars...most of them being like slightly darkened 'spots' about 1/8-1/4". I'm sure that by the time they fade I will only be able to find one or two of them. Good luck with your surgery.

I had 5 incisions. The largest was to the left of my belly button. It was about the size of a quarter. The rest were so small that they are even noticeable. The largest scar was removed when I had my abdominoplasty.
