Question:
Are there any surgeons on the east coast that does the Fobi Pouch surgery?

I am in upstate NY, and Dr. Lirio in Schenectady does perform the Fobi
Pouch. I am very pleased so far. 03/30/99, and lost 47 pounds!

A coworker had surgery in Washington, DC with Dr. Joseph Afram but he does
not do the Fobi pouch. She's done great and is very happy with her weight
loss. I've also seen their ad in the Washington Post Health Section.

It is my understanding that only Dr. Fobi does the Fobi pouch. It is his
own variation of the gastric bypass, and I understand it's quite radical.
If you are in Virginia (or close by) you might consult with Dr. Stephen
Schechner. He's excellent and located in Virginia Beach.

couldn't be happier. He is patient, kind, knowledgeable and very
