Question:
Can someone help me with answers about Dr. Goodman and his steps to surgery?

I have an appointment with Dr.Goodman on August 16,2001. It's my first appointment with him and I am a little nervous about everything. Could someone who has gone to Dr.Goodman please give me the step by step process from the first appointment to the surgery it would be greatly appreciated.    — [Anonymous] (posted on August 2, 2001)

Which Dr. Goodman? I think there's more than one on the surgeon list - Dr. Elliot Goodman in Bronx, NY/Park Ridge, NJ (my surgeon), and I think there's a Dr. Goodman in Illinois or somewhere. If you're asking about my Dr. Goodman, I'm afraid I couldn't give you a good answer because I really can't remember step by step. I think I left my brain back on the operating table, hee hee. To the best of my memory, I had my initial consult in March (2001), they started working on my insurance approval; as soon as I was approved (which luckily for me was fast), I got my date for 5/21; I saw Dr. G.'s dietician & then I sought out a psyciatrist for my psych eval.; then I had to get my pre-op testing & lab-work done (no more than 2 weeks before surgery); and then May 21 2001 I had my surgery. I probably forgot a few details; I don't think I was much help so I hope you get a better response than this. Btw, if you ARE asking about MY Dr. Goodman, I can tell you that he's a really great surgeon and he's got a great personality too. He's very outgoing and funny. You feel right at ease with him; and he actually listens intently to what you are saying. You'll be in good hands. Don't worry!
