Kaiser Coverage- Surgery Out of Area- Will they pay Airfare?

I would assume you do have to pay airfare. I haven't heard of anyone getting their trip covered. Even though it has to do with your surgery, the flight itself doesn't really have to do with your health firsthand, and that is what insurances pay for. Hard to explain- but I would plan on paying for your own flight. Goodluck to you!

My friend lives in CA and has Kaiser. She had her surgery in December and they paid for the airfare. Email me and I will send your email her way so you can ask her about it. I am sure she will be glad to [email protected] (lap rny- Sept. 2002- down 114 pounds!)

Yes Northern Kaiser pays for your airfare and hotel while you are in the room.
