Question:
This is embarresing but

Glenda, call your doctor, explain your problem and see what they want you to do. Don't worry ... it may be nothing more than the fact that you strained too hard when going to the bathroom, a hemmoroid etc. But it is worth talking to the doctor about.

be calm and let's think this one through. If the blood is very bright red, it's probably just a hemorrhoid that is bleeding. If it's dark red, get to your doctor asap. Both need to be checked, but anything dark means the bleeding is occurring further up in the intestinal tract. I have a recurring problem with bleeding internal hemorrhoids. Doctor tells me it's when my diet gets too low in fiber. Generally for me, the treatment is something like a suppository to soothe and heal the bleeding hemorrhoid and upping my fiber until I feel better.

Hi, It seems that with concerns such as this, one might want to contact their nurse or dr. I don't know if anyone on this list is an expert on your particular case. The dr. who did your surgery or their nurse probably would know. I hope it goes away soon.

Call your doctor's office and have the bleeding evaluated. You don't want to mess around with bleeding! Good luck. Cathy

my friend had that problem 5 days post op...it was a bleeding ulcer. Check with your surgeon, so they can find the cause and make sure your blood levels are not dropping
