Im looking for a surgeron on here IN SAN DIEGO OR RIVERSIDE that excepts MEDI-CAL

There are two surgical groups that I know of, Pacific Bariatric which works at Mercy Hospital, and another group at Alvarado Medical Center. I don't know about Alvarado, but I was at the lecture for Pacific Bariatric on thursday evening, and they had information for people with various types of insurance, including Medi-Cal, so I am assuming they accept it. Their office is moving this weekend, but their phone number will be the same on Monday morning: (619) 260-7212 or (800) 267-7212. They have a website at www.pbsmg.com, which has a lot of good information. Assuming that Tricare approves my surgery (and I am pretty sure they will), I will be having mine at Pacific. As of May 1, 2001, Pacific Bariatric does not accept straight MediCal, but does if you have an HMO. This is because MediCal does not pay enough to cover the physch exam and all the others you should have. Dr. Sanderfer in Corona does accept MediCal.
