Hi Teresa. :) i noticed from your profile that your surgeon is not UT-based. There is a bariatric surgeons' office/clinic located at St. Mark's hospital (1160 E 3900 S) that provides excellent support for pre-ops and post-ops alike. I'm in Utah County, so I'm not sure when and where the SLC group meets, but you can call the office up there and they will let you know. 1-800-999-9970.

I should also mention that the support groups meet in several locations across the state and are for anyone who wants to attend, not just patients of Rocky Mountain. good luck to you :)

Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians has support groups at the St. Mark's location (address in previous post) on Tuesdays at 5 pm and Saturdays at 9 am, weekly. Additionally, there is a once a month support group that is scheduled according to the county you live in. Go ahead and give the BSC a call to find out when you meet.
