Question:
Has anyone with MS had bariatric surgery?

I have MS and had surgery in August. I was wondering if anyone else has had the surgery and would like to know how they are doing, if there have been an increase in exacerbations, or decrease in frequency. Thanks, Beth    — Beth B. (posted on April 21, 1999)

Hi Beth - for the benefit of others, just wanted to post on this question as another person with MS and having an open proximal RnY on 2/23/00. For now (1 week post), my MS has no exacerbated and things are going smoothly. Keep you posted on my next few months.

Hi Beth! I had my open rny on dec. 13, 2001. I am doing great! It is so much easier to get around being 55lbs lighter! I hope all goes well for you & look forward to a much higher energy level too! Love, Jill Curry
