Question:
I need individual insurance

I have insurance coverage through my employer which does NOT cover WLS. I am looking for individual coverage in Texas that will pay for the surgery. I am so desperate, I don't know what I will do if I can't have the surgery done. I have tried (as each of you) every diet known to man. I even order Phen-Fen after it was recalled from a pharmacy in Thailand and continued to take it (at a very expensive price). I need any help anyone has!!! I am on anti depressants now because I am so down on myself and discourage about life in general due to the way I look.    — Laura S. (posted on November 4, 2000)

I am not at that point yet. I also live in Texas and have just started the insurance battle. They have denied the first request. I am determined and follow thru as far as I have to first with the insurance. I did get some general information about Scott & White Insurance. They are mailing it to me. If it looks good I leave it here for you..........T
