You might try Dr. Cooper in Chico. It may be harder to find a hospital
that will accept the Medi-cal. I heard UC Davis will but not sure if
that's true. Either way, neither place is in Humboldt, but not too
terribly far away. At least it would be worth it to check it out.

Did you try Stanford? I went thru UCDavis, but i had medicare too. I think
it is best to join a HMO if you only have medical, then the doors open up.
