Question:
Do I have to have a consultation with a surgeon before getting approved by Kaiser?

I have kaiser in No. Calif(Bay Area) I know they contract out to Dr. Basil Meyerwitz. Should I make an appointment with him. Can anyone give me an idea on how long it will take to get approved. my good friend and i are seeking to get the surgery at the same time. i have aetna and she has kaiser. totally different. here process is much longer than mine. kaiser wants to make sure you are ready for change. Hi Linda: I have been trying to get approval from Kaiser for six months now. My experience is that you first get your approval then you can contact your surgeon.
