Question:
How do I find a doctor that does RNY surgery in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.

I don't know where to start looking for a doctor. Does anyone that has had the surgery wish to share their doctor's name and how they felt about him? I would appreciate it so very much. Thank you.    — ldoyel (posted on September 7, 2000)

I checked the data base here and the surgeon list at asbs.org. The closest surgeon to you is Luis V. Gorospe M.D. in Tulsa. He's only 2 hours away from you. Good luck!

HI! I just moved to Oklahoma City and attended my first support group and found out that the doctors here dont do RNY. I think the closest one is Tulsa. I am an RNY patient if you have any questions write back! Jenae RNY 4/29/99 172 lbs lost

LaNora a member here on AMOS had surgery in OKC and it was RNY, however, I don't know his name or if it was divided. I think she todl me it was not divided. You might look up her profile and see if he is listed and write to her.. The surgeon in Tulsa is the only board certified in Oklahoma, however, does not do the divided procedure, which is why I went out of Oklahoma, I wanted the Fobi pouch (which is divided).. Oklahoma is lacking in Board Certified Bariatric Surgeons I hope that changes..
