Question:
Can someone recommend a great doctor in the Central/Northern NJ area??????
I am considering surgery and I am quite unsure as to what doctor is best in his field. All comments appreciated, good or bad. If there is a doctor I should stay away from, please tell me. Thanks alot!!! — Nicole M. (posted on August 29, 2000)

Hi, I am having surgery with Dr. Goodman on September 8, 2000. Check hime
out. I think he is really dedicated. He is not in the Oxford plan but he
does work with you on the front.

I also used Dr. Goodman for my wls. I too have Oxford. He was a man of his
word and accepted Oxford as his payment. I did however pay him $200
because I felt it was a steal, considering all the money I had spent over
the years to lose weight. I can understand your wanting to check out other
doctors, closer to home, but one thing I know, everyone seems to love their
own doctor.
I can say this to you, before I deceided to use Dr. Goodman, I called
everyone of his former patients, and was very surprised to see people
coming from NJ, Conn, Pennsylvania, and even farther. My advice to you
look for the best mechanic you can find. No matter how far. My vote is
for Dr. Goodman. Good Luck to you. and email me anytime if you have any

If you would like it done lap, Dr. Gagner in Manhatten does both the RNY
and BPD/DS. Excellent surgeon. I'm from Southern NJ and he was well worth
the trip!

I had my surgery done on 03/06/00 by Dr Raphael Capella whi is in Ramsey,
NJ. I chose him because of his experience not only as a medical doctor but
as an obesity specialist as well. I would highly recommend him. He's
honest, trustworthy, and compassionate. He truly cares about his patients,
