I have been researching the surgery for 3 years, after a minor setback (pregnancy) I have completed all pre-surgery requisites and I finally have an appointment (March 21 - The day before my daughter's first birthday) to actually meet with Dr. Scholten.

I have been through all the hoops and am now scheduled for 7-30-02. The last remaining obstacle is losing another 6 lbs. before surgery. I lost 4 but it is so hard.....
I am now 5 months post op and down 93 lbs. 12-30-02
People are noticing now. I am amazed at all the bones I can feel in my body. A little concerned about the wrinkles on my legs, arms and expecially my face. Can't wait to have my boobs lifted 2-2-03

13 months out. down 168 lbs. Ready for plastic surgery.

I have dual insurances - One through my husband's work _Priority Health : They have an exclusion for anything relating to weight loss. Fortunately, my insurance will cover it in Network _ Blue Care Network. I am still hoping to wrangle Priority Health into paying what Blue Care won't but I am not going to hold my breath...
