Hello all, Angel soaring in with an update on Mabel ==I spoke with her on the phone last night and she sounded great, No hunger Not much pain, She went to dinner with her daughter and mother and had 3 spoonfuls of soup and then dumped. She said if you ever dump once you won't EVER want to do that again. But she recovered and says she'll see her dr on Thurs. She is so excited and hopeful. She is truly a wonderful person and I feel so proud to be her angel!!!!!!!!!

Mabel, I'm sure partial to your name. It's my mom's name, and my daughters middle name. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 For I am the LORD, you God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 Don't tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is! Hoping you have a successful surgery, and rapid recovery.

Mabel, congratulations on the surgery, I am sure you have waited for this moment a long time. I want to share words to a song that I read and just love..hope it gives you hope for the future: "A dream is a wish your heart makes When you're fast asleep. In dreams you lose your heartaches Whatever you wish for, you keep Have faith in your dreams and someday Your rainbow will come smiling thru No matter how your heart is grieving If you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true." Prayers and hugs for a speedy and uneventful recovery!

Angel coming in with another update....I spoke with Mabel a little while ago, her surgery was 24 hours ago, she is up walking, drinking, and almost pain free, she says it has been better than what she expected, although she did have quite a bit of pain when the anesthesia started to really wear off. She sounds so good, I couldn't believe it. Dr Madan said she may get to go home tomorrow. She is so excited and optimistic, and can't believe that she has no hunger what-so-ever. She did say however that the leak test was the worst and it came back up on the nurse. she said it embarassed her, but I told her not to worry about it, at least she passed it and won't have to go through it again. She wanted me to thank everyone for being so supportive of her and keeping her in your prayers, and will write when she gets home. Mabel, I'm so proud of your strength and courage, it makes me try harder. Rhonda

Hello again friends, I haven't been to the hospital, Seems my Angelette is getting some well deserved rest. I did speak with David, her fiance, and he said that Mabel is doing very well, she is a little sore, but doing better than she had feared. She may get to go home tomorrow. Lap procedures seem so much easier. I pray God will keep her pain at bay and speed her recovery with His grace. I know she appreciates every word of encouragement she has been given by her brothers and sisters who share our common goal. Will update again later. Rhonda
